Warriors Host Giants
The Warriors playoff hunt continues Friday night as they host the Vancouver Giants in game three of four of their iron man challenge. The Warriors are coming off an overtime loss at the hands of the Saskatoon Blades Wednesday night here in Moose Jaw. The Giants have won two straight contests in both Brandon and Regina.
Craig Cunningham, who continues to lead the Western Hockey League with 37 goals and 55 assists for a total of 92 points in 64 games played will surely be an offensive threat for the Giants as well as a player the Warriors’ defence must keep tabs on. Brendan Gallagher is second on the Giants in scoring with 75 points.
Quinton Howden still leads the tribe in scoring with 27 goals and 63 points. Howden leads the team in assists with 36. Jason Bast is coming off a 3 point effort against Saskatoon which ties him with Brendan Rowinski for second in Warriors scoring.
Friday night with mark the lone meeting between the two teams this year, and will be very critical for the Warriors. The first five hundred fans to the doors will receive a very special Warriors team poster!
