A rematch of the 2012 Eastern Conference Final goes Friday in Edmonton as the Warriors (5-4-0-1) kick off a two game Alberta road trip with a tilt against the Oil Kings (5-3-1-2).
The Warriors are coming off of a five game home stand where they posted a 3-1-1 record; their most recent game was a 5-2 win Tuesday night against Everett. The Oil Kings on the other hand are winless in their last three, the last being a shootout loss to Kamloops Wednesday night.
Sam Fioretti leads the Warriors offence with ten goals and 18 points while Michael St. Croix leads the Oil Kings with nine assists and 14 points, TJ Foster is the Kings goals leader with nine and 13 points.
This also marks the second straight game that features top five 2012 NHL draft picks, Morgan Rielly was selected fifth overall by Toronto by Edmonton’s Griffin Reinhart went fourth overall to the Islanders.
Last season Moose Jaw went 1-2-1 against Edmonton, they posted a 0-1-1 record on the road.
