Four Warriors visited Sunningdale Elementary to promote education and literacy in the CIBC Read to Succeed program today. The initiative is to convey the message that education is important and the first step in gaining knowledge is the ability to read.
Sam Fioretti, Justin Kirsch, Dallas Ehrhardt and Joel Edmundson spent some time in the morning promoting both literacy and education. The Warriors shared a story from the 'Brady, Brady' hockey story collection, signed some bookmarks and answered some very 'tough' questions. The children of Sunningdale and the Warriors had a great time.
The Read to Succeed program along with CIBC as a partner have visited the schools in Moose Jaw and the Prairie South School Divsion during the 2011-2012 school year. For more information and details on our community programs, visit the Moose Jaw Warriors website at www.mjwarriors.com under the Community heading.
