Moose Jaw Warriors 2012 Training Camp came to an end Sunday with the playing of the “Hamonic Cup” Intrasquad game, 16 year old Brayden Point had three goals and five points for team Black in a 10-2 win over team White.
2011 2nd round bantam pick Josh Uhrich opened the scoring for team Black 57 seconds in to the game, 20 year old Justin Kirsch scored back-to-back goals six minutes apart to make it 3-0 for Black. Point and Captain Kendall McFaull made it 5-0 Black before the first period ended.
In the second period, 2010 2nd round bantam pick Brandon Potomak made it 6-0 at 4:48, 2012 bantam pick made it 7-0, then Point made it 8-0 with 3:12 left in the second.
2012 bantam pick Christos Zinis scored team White’s first goal at 7:44 of the third period, just over thirty seconds later Point scored his hat trick goal to make it 9-1. Veteran blue liner Joel Edmundson made it 10-1 at 10:49, in the final minute of the game Miles Warkentine scored team White’s second goal and the final goal of the game.
The team will practice on Monday and then take on the Swift Current in a rookie game Tuesday at Mosaic Place, admission will be a donation to the Warriors Education Fund.
