Rowinski Rolls Raiders
Christmas may be over, but Brenden Rowinski continues to show Warrior Fans a gifted offence. The Winnipeg product scored three times on Sunday as Moose Jaw beat Prince Albert 6-2-- making their third straight win over the Raiders since the holiday break.
Dylan McIlrath started the night off by taking on Raider defensemen Yaworski—the seventeen year olds were sent to the penalty box, but Dylan would set the tone for the rest of the evening. Brendan Rowinski would score on the power play—getting the home team on the board first. Raiders would fire back with one from Deck, but Rowinski would quickly find the back of the net for his second of the night.
Heading into the second period, Dylan Hood with line mates Brendan Rowinksi and Tony Honejsek would make it a 3-1 game. Only minutes into the third, Brendan Rowinski would find himself with a hatrick and the 4th Warriors goal. Thomas Frazee then snuck one past Zemlak making it 5-1. Only minutes later, Nathan MacMaster began a fist fight with Raider Sean Ashim. Warriors AP, Danny Gayle continued to shine in a Warriors uniform as he banked his first ever WHL goal and the tribes final goal of the night. Prince Albert managed to get one more goal past Bosch to leave the score at 6-2.
Jeff Bosch continues to impress-- making 35 saves on the night. The Warriors fired 46 shots Zemlak’s way with six of them finding the net. First star of the night went to Brendan Rowinski. Dylan Hood would receive second star honours—and finally #31, Jeff Bosch would be named third star. Danny Gayle was deservingly named Hardest Working.
