Stone Steals One for Hitmen

The Warriors lost a heart breaker tonight to the Calgary Hitmen. Neither team was able to capitalize in the first period; leaving the score clock blank heading into the second period. 

 

The first intermission featured the Sobey’s shopping cart game. Three contestants had to find their list of items to win gift cards from Sobeys. The second period had only one goal. Calgary’s Stone scored on the power play giving the Hitmen a one goal advantage. 

 

The second intermission had three contestants have a dance off to win a new Blackberry pearl from Sasktel. “Big Hair” went home with the new blackberry! 

 

The third period was a nail bitter. Brendan Rowinski did what he does best… score under pressure. With the clock winding down and Bosch on the bench, Brendan scored the equalizer sending the game into OT.

 

At 2:24 into OT, Stone managed to trickle one in past Bosch to claim the game winner and the win for the Hitmen. Warriors look ahead to two more big games this week with Saskatoon visiting Friday and Brandon Saturday.
