Warriors Defeat Hitmen...TWICE!

Tonight’s game once again showcased the Warriors offensive ability. In their second meeting with the number one ranked, Calgary Hitmen the Warriors handed the Hitmen their second lose of the season.

Warriors Captain, Jason Bast opened the game with a goal at 16:05 with assists coming from MacMaster and Scott.  Bast’s one goal stood as the only point on the board to end the first. Warriors came out strong in the second, with 20 year old Cody Smuk scoring at 2:16. Spencer Edwards continued his scoring streak by getting the third goal of the night to put the Warriors at 3-0 to end the second.

Calgary was not about to give into the Warriors pressure; Calgary’s Stone scored for the Hitmen only 1:45 into the third. Stone made it a 3-2 game on the power play. Quinton Howden put the Warriors back up by two to make the score 4-2. Former Warrior, Joel Broda managed to get a quick goal on Bosch at 12:34 in the third period to bring the Hitmen within two.

Jason Bast, named tonight’s first star of the game, sealed the Hitmen’s fate with two goals to get himself a hat trick and a big Warriors win. The Warriors look to improve to 7-4.
