Hayes Hampers Warriors Offense

The Moose Jaw Warriors hosted the Brandon Wheat Kings in their second home game of the season tonight. After the first period neither squad made it onto the board. Good measuring stick tonight for the Warriors as memorial cup bound Brandon proved their defensive ability. Warriors goalie, Jeff Bosch was able to keep the Wheat Kings off the score sheet until the second period. Bosch made 20 saves to earn the title of Hardest Working Warrior. Aaron Lewadniuk led the way for Brandon with a goal and two assists. Hayes was named the first star after stopping all 25 shots including a spectacular save on Honesjsek.

One thousand magnet schedules were given out to Warriors fans at the door. Intermission activities included a game of musical chairs where contestants competed for their chance to win a NHL recliner from McKarr's Home Furnishings. Tonight Habs fans were playing for their chance to come back in the finale. The lucky winner of musical chairs was RJ.   RJ will return on February 27th to try win a recliner. All of our contestants received $40 gift certificates from McKarr's and a Montreal Canadians towel.

The second intermission had Scott blindfolded and hunting for a special team autographed jersey. Mortimer was out and about throwing frisbees and shooting t-shirts into the crowd.
