Travel Day - Spokane to Everett

I know, I know... it’s pretty late to be posting this, but it’s been a long day on the road.

We left Spokane this morning and made the trip to Everett.
It’s been a pretty boring day. Guys pretty much did whatever they could to kill the five hour drive.

Some guys played cards, some watched movies, others played video games, and maybe, just maybe if you looked hard you might have found a player doing homework :)

I finished Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol" and watched "Terminator Salvation".

Here’s a handful of pictures from throughout the day.

This is the view from my seat on the bus somewhere between Spokane and Everett.

Everett's zamboni... the front is a flat screen TV.  Apparently kids play XBOX while the zamboni's on the ice.

Coach Hunchak loosens up for practice.

Coach Higo warms up Brandon Glover.

Curtis Amiot helps out Spencer Edwards with his skates.

After arriving in Everett the boys hit the ice to shake the bus legs.

While they were doing that I met a very talented hockey player. His name is CJ Stucky, and he after scoring four goals last as a defenseman, he made the jump to center. He told me he’s flourished in his new role, scoring 43 goals and he has 19 hat tricks this season.
Alright, he’s only seven, but still, he was a very cute kid. He’s the son of the Silvertips equipment manager and he really impressed me with his knowledge of the game. He was commenting on the boys when they practicing, and was telling me that he actually went on the Warriors website to familiarize himself with the tribe.
That’s it for our off day. Get ready for late night hockey Friday night; we’re on the air with the pre game show at 9:15pm.
