Warriors Fall to Broncos
The Moose Jaw Warriors fell to 16-12-1-1 with a 3-1 loss last Friday in Swift Current. Jakub Herman had the only Warriors goal, which was his first WHL goal; Corey Scott and Kenndal McFaull picked up the assists; Jeff Bosch made 43 saves in the loss. Matt Tassone led the Broncos with a pair of goals; Cody Eakin had a goal and two points. The Warriors were 0/3 on the power play and ½ on the penalty kill. The Warriors have managed just one win in their last seven games.
v. Prince Albert
Tonight is the third meeting of the season between the Warriors and Prince Albert Raiders, and the second in Hockey Town North. Moose Jaw is 2-0 against the Raiders, outscoring Prince Albert 13-7.

Hamonic Gets World Junior Invite
Moose Jaw Warriors Travis Hamonic received an invitation to Canada’s World Junior Selection Camp for the upcoming IIHF 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships. Hamonic is currently the WHL’s leading defensemen with 34 points in 29 games. Hamonic attended the World Junior camp last season but was one of several cuts. 36 players received invitations to Canada’s camp, 10 WHL skaters will make their way to Regina when camp begins December 12th.
Warriors to U17 Hockey Challenge
16 year old rookie forward Joey Kornelsen was named to Team Pacific for the upcoming World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in Timmins, Ontario December 29th to January 4th. Kornelsen is one of 17 players from Alberta and B.C. to be named to Team Pacific.
Warriors Ranked in Central Scouting
Four Moose Jaw Warriors found their name on the NHL’s Central Scouting Fall Preliminary rankings of the 25 WHL players for the upcoming draft. Dylan McIlrath was ranked 7th, Quinton Howden 8th, Kendall McFaull was 17th, and Brandon Glover was 6th among goaltenders. Prince George Cougar Brett Connolly was the top ranked player, Edmonton Oil King Defenseman Mark Pysyk was 2nd, and Red Deer Rebel Alex Petrovic was 3rd.
