The Moose Jaw Warriors improved to 12-8-0-0 with a 6-5 shootout win Wednesday night in Prince Albert. Jason Bast led all scorers with two goals and five points; Quinton Howden had a goal and four points; Thomas Frazee had two goals; Travis Hamonic had three assists; Connor Cox had one assist; Brandon Glover made 14 saves and two more in the shootout to pick up the win. Igor Revenko led the Raiders with two goals; Garrett Zemlak made 36 saves in the loss. The Warriors were 3/3 on the power play and 4/5 on the penalty kill.
 
 v. Medicine Hat
Tonight is the first meeting of the season between the Warriors and Medicine Hat Tigers. Moose Jaw was 0-4 against the Tigers last season. Medicine Hat outscored Moose Jaw 23-9. Moose Jaw is 6-13-0-1 against Medicine Hat in the last five years; they’ve posted a 4-6 record at home over that time.
Thomas Frazee leads returning scorers with a goal and three points last season against the Tigers; Travis Hamonic had three assists; Jason Bast had two goals; Quinton Howden had a goal and two points; Jeff Bosch was 0-2 with a 5.04gaa and .841sv%.
Linden Vey led the Tigers with six goals and nine points against the Warriors; Tyler Ennis had four goals and nine points; Sean Ringrose had six goals; Tristan King had three goals and six points; Mark Isherwood and Zdenek Okal had a goal and five points each; Colton Grant had four assists; Jace Coyle had three assists; Tyler Bunz was 2-0 with a 3.00gaa and .838sv%.
 
Hamonic & Howden named to Team WHL
Moose Jaw Warriors Travis Hamonic and Quinton Howden have been named to Team WHL for the upcoming Subway Super Series. Both will play in the November 26th game in Kelowna, BC.
This is the second time that Hamonic will take part in the series. Hamonic goes into the weekend tied for scoring on the Warriors roster with seven goals and 20 points. Hamonic won an Under 18 gold medal last season at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament in the Czech Republic; he was taken part in the last two World Junior Summer Evaluation camps and attended last years World Junior camp.
This marks the first time that Howden will take part in the Super Series. Howden goes into the weekend 4th in Warriors scoring with seven goals and 16 points.  Howden won an Under 18 gold medal this summer at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament in the Czech Republic.
This is the seventh straight year that the CHL’s best players have squared off against Team Russia in preparation of the World Junior Hockey Championships. The series is used by Hockey Canada in their evaluation process prior to their final selection camp in December. The series goes from November 16-26th across Canada, with games in Western Canada being played November 25th in Victoria, BC and November 26th in Kelowna, BC.
