Warriors Edged By Blades
The Moose Jaw Warriors dropped to 11-6 on the season after a 4-3 loss to the Saskatoon Blades last Saturday. The Warriors trailed 3-0 mid way thru the second and battled back to tie the game in the third, only to fall short in the end. Kendall McFaul, Thomas Frazee, and Quinton Howden scored goals; Dylan Hood, Brendan Rowinski, Jason Bast, and Ryan Stanton picked up assists; Jeff Bosch made 15 saves in the loss. Stefan Elliot led the Blades with two goals, including the game winner; Charles Inglis and Walker Wintoneak had one goal each; Adam Morrison made 29 saves for the win. The Warriors were ¼ on the power play and 3/3 on the penalty kill.

Tonight is the second meeting of the season between the Warriors and Saskatoon Blades. Moose Jaw was 2-6 against the Blades last season. The Blades outscored the Warriors 53-22. Moose Jaw is 18-20-0-1 against the Blades in the last five years; posting a 13-7 record at home in that time.
Brendan Rowinski had four goals and six points against the Blades last season (two goals as a member of the Calgary Hitmen); Dylan Hood had three goals and five points; Quinton Howden had two goals and five points; Jason Bast, Dylan McIlrath, Riley Reinbolt, Kevin Smith, and Cody Smuk had a goal and three points each; Clinton Atkinson had three assists; Jeff Bosch was2-2 with a 5.94gaa and .823sv%.
Burke Gallimore led the Blades with five goals and 17 points against the Warriors; Adam Chorneyko had five goals and 14 points; Curtis Hamilton had six goals and 11 points; Walker Wintoneak had six goals and 10 points; Derek Hulak had five goals and 10 points; Gaelan Patterson had four goals and nine points; Josh Nicholls had three goals and eight points; Chris Langkow, Colin Joe, and Travis Toomey had two goals and seven points each; Jyri Niemi and Teigan Zahn had two goals and five points each; Adam Morrison was 3-1 with a 2.27gaa and .901sv%; Braden Holtby was 3-1 with a 3.26gaa and .879sv%.
Hamonic & Howden named to Team WHL
Moose Jaw Warriors Travis Hamonic and Quinton Howden have been named to Team WHL for the upcoming Subway Super Series. Both will play in the November 26th game in Kelowna, BC.
This is the second time that Hamonic will take part in the series. Hamonic goes into the weekend tied for scoring on the Warriors roster with seven goals and 20 points. Hamonic won an Under 18 gold medal last season at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament in the Czech Republic; he was taken part in the last two World Junior Summer Evaluation camps and attended last years World Junior camp.
This marks the first time that Howden will take part in the Super Series. Howden goes into the weekend 4th in Warriors scoring with seven goals and 16 points. Howden won an Under 18 gold medal this summer at the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament in the Czech Republic.
This is the seventh straight year that the CHL’s best players have squared off against Team Russia in preparation of the World Junior Hockey Championships. The series is used by Hockey Canada in their evaluation process prior to their final selection camp in December. The series goes from November 16-26th across Canada, with games in Western Canada being played November 25th in Victoria, BC and November 26th in Kelowna, BC.
