The Moose Jaw Warriors improved to 9-4 with a 2-1 win over the Kamloops Blazers Tuesday night at the Civic Center. Travis Hamonic and Jesse Paradis scored the Warriors goals; Jacob Herman had two assists; Riley Reinbolt had one assist; Jeff Bosch made 13 saves in the win. Tyler Shattock scored the only Kamloops goal; Justin Leclerc made 35 saves in the loss. The Warriors were 0/7 on the power play and ¾ on the penalty kill.
 
v. Kootenay
Tonight is the second meeting of the season between the Warriors and Kootenay Ice, and their first in Cranbrook. Moose Jaw won their only meeting 4-2 back on October 11th. Moose Jaw is 7-6-3-1 against Kootenay in the last five years, posting a 4-4 record on the road.
Jason Bast, Thomas Frazee, and Cody Smuk lead the Warriors with a goal and two points each against the Ice; Travis Hamonic has one goal; Quinton Howden, Jesse Paradis, Brendan Rowinski, and Ryan Stanton have one assist each; Jeff Bosch is 1-0 with a 2.00gaa and .933sv%.
Steele Boomer and Cason Machacek lead the Ice with one goal each against the Warriors; Jesse Ismond, Joey Leach, Luke Paulsen, and Hayden Rintoul have one assist each; Nathan Lieuwen is 0-1 with a 3.03gaa and .880sv%.
 
Bast WHL/CHL Player of the Week
Warriors overage forward Jason Bast was named the Boston Pizza WHL Player of the Week and CHL Player of the Week for the week ending October 11th. Bast had seven goals and 12 points and was +7 for the Warriors. Bast had two goals in the Warriors 9-6 win over the Regina Pats; he had a goal and four points in the 7-6 loss to Swift Current; he had a hat trick and four points in the 6-3 win over the Calgary Hitmen; he finished off the weekend with a goal and two points in the 4-2 win over the Kootenay Ice last Sunday.
